Trouble in Paradise

Teaching is becoming increasingly difficult, and each year is more challenging than the last. Our profession is wildly unpredictable: students are more unhinged under the influence of influencers who subscribe to selfishness and irresponsibility. Parents, whether affluent or under the influence, have yet to develop a real sense of cooperation with the humans who agreed to build a solid academic foundation for their children. Yet, these are only some of the worst obstacles teachers must navigate. These are things affecting the classroom from the outside.

A classroom should be a safe haven created by educators, allowing learners to explore the deepest recesses of their minds to achieve a higher understanding of the world and, most importantly, themselves. Things such as reading and math are merely tools people use to innovate and create things limited by their imagination. However, this is only part of the reality.

This book delves into the various factors that are disrupting the paradise of teaching. As you read the real-life stories and insightful analysis in this book, you'll find the problems clearly articulated, with practical solutions offered based on my observations and experiences. While our current education system may not be perfect, it's the one we have. However, it's within our power to improve it. This career is not for the faint of heart, and there's no shame in leaving.

But for those who choose to stay, the potential for positive change is immense.
